Comedian and former BBC Radio Lancashire presenter Jim Bowen came over "a bit funny" at his home in Melling over the weekend and is being treated at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
The 73-year-old suffered a joke on Friday and then a second while in hospital.
The entertainer, who is best known for darts-themed TV quiz show Bullseye was recovering last night, and has not done a funny turn since.

For all you Jim Bowen spotters out there, the bin man at Headingley Cricket Ground is/was a dead-ringer. Oh how he nearly laughed at the (half-pi**ed) crowd singing "ONE JIM BOWEN, THAS ONLY ONE JI-HIM BOWEN". And then, of course a completely fresh (half-pi**ed) crown would repeat the amusing singalong on noticing this.
