It has been revealed that Earl Spencer has sensationally been chosen to give the address at the wedding of William and Kate.
Documents leaked today show that the royal couple had thought they were getting Rowan Atkinson to officiate, but they were confusing him with Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury. And having read what he was going to say ('We are all, in a real sense, along with the rest of humanity, though in a deeply psychological sense, not...'), they were agreed that the ceremony would need livening up.
Rejecting Harry's idea of him dressing as Hitler and delivering the Nuremburg Rally speech (because apart from the Royal family, no-one there would understand German), they opted for Earl Spencer.
'I remember that at mummy's funeral everyone talked about what Uncle Charles had said, and what an impression it made,' said William. 'So I've asked him to say something equally thought-provoking and memorable, so that no-one will forget our big day.'
