The move comes as delegates from Darfur believe that this is the first multi-party election for some time, and that inspectors will be required to monitor any potential irregularities which could prove crucial.
The leader of South Sudan's main party, the SPLM, Mr Ben Dewire, said it was "impossible" to observe elections in a credible way given the "many safety limitations" in the region, especially as 6th May is Giro day in Cheetham Hill, Manchester.
