In what's believed to be a world first a baby has communicated with her mum through the medium of Twitter. Baby Saffron aged 11 months received her first Blackberry (other devices are available) when she was just 3 months old.
Her mother said "She just used to sit and chew it, but this morning I received a Tweet fom her saying 'mama'. I shed a few tears of joy before instant messaging my husband to come through from the next room to see it."
Scientists suggest that more and more children will develop like this and that the older forms of communication, like speaking to each other, will gradually die away.
Baby Saffron continues to develop her Tweeting skills with the latest message stating "Mum took my nappy off, did a pooh! lol :-)"
