West Brom today celebrated the appointment of Roy Hodgson as their new manager by selling The Hawthorns and roping off a bit of the local park, in anticipation of their promotion to Ken's Chip Shop Local League Division 4.
'Roy will bring with him a wealth of experience,' said the Chairman on his way to the Job Centre. 'Mostly it's experience of getting clubs relegated and being sacked soon afterwards for being so useless. And that's certainly what we're expecting here.'

Huh?
I think his record is pretty good isn't it?

Sacked by Liverpool for being useless and upsetting the fans... Anyway, the only thing I know about West Brom is that Adrian Chiles supports them.

He's still a hero in Malmö!
Anyway, I checked his record on Wikipedia, and it doesn't look like a team's ever been relegated on his watch...

There's always a first time - and they're heading in the right direction!

He took Fulham - FULHAM! - to the UEFA Cup Final. I'd suggest his problems at L*v**p**l were as much to do with their inflated egos as any failings on his part. If I were a West Brom fan, I'd be delighted.

Oh alright then - 'West Brom celebrate appointment of Roy Hodgson as their manager by, er, celebrating.' Not terribly amusing, but more accurate...
