Not a big organized sport fan. (Surprise!) I will go (if compelled) to a college game. Those are more fun.
I used to go to opening day at the Red Sox every year. The Men (most women couldn't care less) who worked for me at the bank always wanted to skip work and do it, and also have someone to pay for the overpriced beers. I was that person. Great chance to get sh-tfaced on the company's $$$.

Loved the game, although mildly disappointed that the BEP's were booked for the half time show; no-where near as good as Springsteen last year.
The right team won - at least they've no people 'too famous to be charged with sex offences' on their team.

just to address a question from 1Word way back in this thread (I'm only just catching up) but the game finished with time on the clock because Green Bay had the ball. Aaron Rodgers started the next play and put his knee straight down on the field which ends the play but keeps the clock running. As there were less than 40 seconds on the clock at this point Green Bay do not have to line up for a new down as they have 40 seconds in between plays to discuss tactics and line up. Hence the clock would have run out before they would be made to start the play.
It's one of the most boring tactics in a game as some teams have done this for 4 downs in a row running a couple of minutes off the clock.
