Congratulations to Ludicity, who takes the Writer of the Month title for a record fourth time, with an impressive ten front pages, ranging from the hugely popular ‘Royal Wedding to feature 3D holographic Diana’ to the hugely necessary ‘Silvio Berlusconi to be neutered’. Commiserations to runner-up and December Writer of the Month Golgo13, in a period where there was a great spread of successful submissions from well-established writers and new contributors alike.
Congratulations also to Skylarking, for his ‘Waiting for Godot for Wii breaks first week sales records’ front page, which was the most popular new story posted during the month.
Special mention, though should go to red and LarryHarry for ‘Scientists discover snowflake identical to one which fell in 1963’, which was posted as a News in Brief in December, and is the latest in a string of NewsBiscuit stories to go viral, drawing a huge audience to the site from around the world. Some of them even realised that the report was actually a joke.
Good luck to everyone for February. Will Ludicity go on to cement his lead at the top of the table? Will one of the other former joint-record holders make an attempt to match his achievement? Or will a new name be added to the illustrious list of Writers of the Month in the hallowed halls of Newsbiscuit HQ?
