Researchers have today outlined that surveys prove that builders and taxi drivers have time bending, stopping and stretching abilities akin to those portrayed in the hit BBC show Dr. Who.
A senior researcher first noticed these attributes when a booked house call from a builder for 8am to 8.30am actually happened at 3pm the following day, without the building in question realising that they were over 30 hours late.
It seems that builders and taxi drivers have a rare genetic condition that allows them to manipulate time to their own will. When a taxi driver confirms that "I'll be there in 5 minutes" or a builder says "this job should take a few days" what they are actually confirming to you is that the time that will pass to them is the length they state, as they are in a time locked bubble, but to you hours, days and weeks will pass.
Taxi drivers also have to ability to stretch the payable time on the meter for a five minute journey to ensure that the fare is always £10 minimum.
