A top city lawyer, Vincenzo Diablo-Sempre, has announced that Cheryl Cole's hair extensions have instructed him to pursue Ms Cole for royalties following the remarkable rise to fame of the pint-sized, perma-air-brushed former toilet attendant beating 'pop princess'.
A statement read "Ms Cole's hair extensions have instructed me to take legal action to gain the recognition they feel they deserve for assisting the geordie girl done good.
For a start, they feel that Ms Cole would never have got the L'Oreal gig were it not for them. And on top of that, they find it hard to believe that people wouldn't recognise the fact that she surely couldn't have become so successful based on her singing voice alone"
Ms Cole's camp has fought back by attempting to restrict the extensions public appearances by scraping her hair back or tying it in tight buns, but Mr Diablo-Sempre has vilified this course of action, stating that "it merely illustrates the fact that Ms Cole is attempting to not only quash the publics' awareness of the work done by her extensions, but is also a crude attempt to ruin their career by restricting their freedom to work".
A representative said that the extensions feel they are being held back from furthering their career and opportunites. They are also seeking to enrol the support of Ms Cole's false eye-lashes, but early attempts have been thwarted by not being able to reach them.
