The war of independence involving breakaway basque factions has entered its third bloody decade, with no end to the conflict in sight.
Basques have traditionally been regarded as underwear, but a new faction is calling for independence, arguing that the garment's future is as overwear. The move has been supported by Madonna and Lady GaGa, who have both done much to bring basques into the public eye.
