Indeed. I don't know if this is another arrghgarry clone or not, but it smells like one of his.

What's this-the Newsbiscuit fundamentalist cadets telling me I've broken one of their rules? I don't believe what's needed is up to you, Gerontius. I suggest you stop strutting around and behaving as though this was your own personal site; and you are not the arbiter of what is and isn't acceptable.

I have to say it. It's the endless grandstanding that making this site a bore - if you don't like it then show us how it should be done.

    Still, shit sub though.

You can get away with a joke in very bad taste, sometimes. But when you have something that's just bad taste, and no joke, then it's difficult to defend.

It's not my site, it's up to others to decide what is appropriate or not, I'm just giving my opinions which you are free to ignore!

Well you're a self righteous little ponce and no mistake bonjonelson.
I can't see what your problem is and I don't feel any need to justify myself.

Can't see bonjonelsons problem either as his comments look perfectly normal. Bit more worried about yourself. Guess you would fail the mental fitness test to buy a gun in the US if they would have one.

Getting a number of 1 and 2 star ratings is probably showing that the voters think it's crap, so better no stars then that. Have to say the front pages are funtastic. It's just the subs occasionally letting the site down, but luckily it's probably too rare to justify moderation. If you want to see the waves you hve to accept the occasional turd floating by.

Greg - that's what you get for shooting your mouth off, as Kurt Cobain discovered - oops.

I am unable to reply. Greg has called me a "self righteous little ponce" - a witty, cutting and devastating verbal attack that has left me reeling. I have no other choice than to accept that I was utterly wrong and to bow to his clearly superior abilities.

It you can show proof that you are over six feet tall, you earn the right to be called a big self-righteous ponce.

    erm....
I appreciated it... kind of sick in a Jimmy Carr way, just needs softened up into something less pointy?

    How about this minor refinement:

"I needed that like a hole in the head!" remarks shot congresswomen, after 'get well visit' from George W Bush and Sarah Palin?

Is that still beyond the pale or are we edging away from the precipice yet?

Jammy Dodgers, I think your refinement works. The first sub was utterly predictable and really bad taste. But what makes that bad taste and all the jokes about the blue haired lit teacher murderer OK ? I guess as those jokes were aimed at the media, and the police, rather than the victim. Jammy Dodgers works tho. Raised a smile anyway :)

jammy dodgers is right on target - excuse the choice of words. By the way how does the US healthcare system work for people in cases like this. Do they only get into A&E after they swiped their credit card? From what I understand when someone without insurance (or with inadequate cover) falls ill, they are obliged to pay their medical costs out of their own pocket. So does it mean they remove the bullet from your body and then take your house away to pay for it?

If you can't pay up front, the doctors will do the bare minimum... maybe just block up the bullet holes with spackle, to stop the wind whistling through...

You might even be able to get away with:

Politician shot through the brain to make a full recovery - "No vital organs hit"

because your target here are politicians in general, not the poor woman from Tucson.

Fuck off Garry Firth you racist homophobic cunt. You are the sole reason I don't write anything here any more and I read less and less. Everything was fine here until you started spouting your racist offensive filth and some of us were brave enough to suggest it was inappropriate. Sadly, most were not as brave, and ponced around saying ooh, lets all be nice to each other, when you are plainly incapable of being so. Aahm oot.
