The Conservatives have hit back at BNP proposals that would see single mums under the age of 21 imprisoned if they refuse to enter care homes with their children. Shadow chancellor George Osborne accused the extreme right wing party of outrageous behaviour adding "Everybody knows that the BNP are a single issue party with no other policies but it is unacceptable to steal Tory ideas and pass them off as their own."
