The Met Police are to widen their search for criminals guilty of obstruction, after the massive success of their latest man hunt, which netted an evil middle englander who was caught red handed warning motorists to slow down.

That was an odd story wasn't it...I mean, the police do want us to stop speeding, don't they? And this bloke was essentially helping them achieve that same goal... Surely it's not a case of the Police getting annoyed because they don't get their numbers...
On a related note, a problem I have when out and about in the car is deciphering what another motorists flashing headlights are supposed to mean. Is there a speed trap ahead? Is he inviting me to turn right? Am I driving on the wrong side of the road again?
I get the feeling that real men know instinctively what another driver's signals mean (just like they know about DIY and football) whereas I'm always a bit lost...I blame it on the sum of my experiences...

The sad thing about this case is that he was done for obstructing the Police. Obstructing the police from doing what, collecting revenue for the government, since when was that the job of the police? Proof, if ever we needed it, that the cameras really are about raising revenue not road safety.
