This put me in mind of an article I read recently - a tribute to the late Japanese musician and philanthropist Tama Charuzu (Tama-san), who was inspired by the music of Ray Charles, who of course had a hit song / album called "Blues is my Middle Name"

Thanks Golgo, I get it now, so my guess is "obscurantism".

Not just now, thanks, Rik.
Following Golgo's line of reasoning, I think his middle name is simply 'F'. I've made the following assumptions: (1) that Blues is my Middle Name, like any good Blues, would be in the key of Bb; and (2) Hunter's playing accompaniment on the blues harmonica. So that would be in the key of F. Hence, in Hunter's case, F is my Midde Name.
Tired now.

@ Malgor - interesting that you should mention harmonicas. Tama-san's philanthropy involved sending unwanted harmonicas from affluent Japan to Africa, where they could be put to better use. (this is, of course, mentioned in the tribute I linked to).

@Golgo - pure coincidence. The tribute is in a particular form of Mandarin with which I'm regrettably not entirely familiar. Prefer satsumas, easier to peel.

Well, thanks for all your entries. especially impressed with the detour into Japanese harmonica blues and satsumas. HOWEVER, I'm very pleased to say that, yes Victory, everyone has WON £5.
Please email Newsbiscuit for your prize :)))
