So Frankie Boyle drops the N-word on Tramadol Nights and the press react as if no one has ever said or done anything more offensive.
David Walliams and Matt Lucus black up and drag up in Come Fly With Me and that's family entertainment. At least Frankie Boyle was making a point, one he could have made just as well without the N-word but a point nevertheless. Come Fly With Me appeared to have no point whatsoever.
I'm getting mixed comedy signals. Is this all clear to other Biscuits?
Come Fly With Me was shit. Embarrassing to watch. The racial stereotypes were poorly observed. Those two haven't been funny together for years. I stopped watching Frankie Boyle after one show because it wasn't funny, but YouTube clip confirms what was written above. He was using the words to satirise British news reporting and the MoD. Lucas & Williams appear to be in thrall to dressing up and doing accents.

To my mind Frankie Boyle's becoming the Bernard Manning of tomorrow. Fat foul-mouthed and abusive. He's aready 2/3rds of the way there. I have to admit to coming to this opinion with very little evidence as I couldn't/can't watch either for longer than a couple of minutes at a time.

Not actually seen any of them - but probably no need.
Over exposed and lightweight at the best of times...they soon get caught out.
TV makes and breaks careers very quickly these days.
But the actual humour doesn't seem important any more. You can sit through an entire comedy these days and not once break into a smile.
However, and I never thought I would be saying this...the one that has shown promise recently is Russell Howard. He was only a kid when he started out and maybe struggled a bit but he is maturing well and getting a much wider grasp on things. He's a grafter too.
Milton Jones is too good for TV
