Jubilant staff at the Royal Mint toasted their success today following market research that showed that the portraits of Prince William and Kate Middleton on the new commemorative engagement coin were "completely unrecognizable".
"This is an important step in the war against terror," claimed Royal Mint Manager Clive Nobbs. "Imagine the security threat if every jihadi arriving in the country only had to look in his pocket for a good likeness of his potential target. By using the portraits of a completely different couple we have averted a major security risk."
It is believed that the couple depicted on the coin were actually a pair of Glaswegian partygoers who were "off their face" when they were snapped by a Royal Mint graphic designer.
