Who first made you laugh? I'm not talking about childhood mirthbringers, children will laugh at anything. To this day I am haunted by the memory of myself when very young begging to be allowed to stay up to watch Russ Abbott because I thought the bit where he danced around in a fat suit with a fat woman was the funniest thing in the wide world.
Who first made you laugh like a grown-up?
For me it was Blackadder Goes Forth which was broadcast when I was twelve and made me fall in love with the Stephen Fry comedy generation. Blackadder was and is brilliant and the shock of that final scene was possibly the first time I'd thought about anything seriously ever.
