PANAMA CITY. Emails thought to have been leaked by the Office of the Papal Nuncio in Panama City have revealed that the Magic Circle firm Linklaters, which approved Lehman Brother's accounts and a series of misleading prospectus disclosures, has agreed to manage global litigation on behalf of the Vatican, in the wake of a series of disturbing allegations.
While it has not been possible to determine from the correspondence what fee has been agreed for the work, the defense intends to develop a winning strategy, described as "truthful and open", as outlined by the firm's senior partners:
