   I think Our Garry has p-ssed off; that started me thinking of the greater and lesser lights who are no longer here. I was not here at the Big Bang of NB, I only remember Joan and Cloan Bloggs imitators, not the real things. Where have all the flowers gone?

   I don't think we'd be so lucky that he's gone for good, he'll be flying back from Japan to get to the meet next week. I imagine he has a flat in Brighton that he rents out to some nice young men during term time, and that he'll be stopping off to pay his respects at Auschwitz on the way back.

   Totally agree re holiday spirit. Absent newsbiscuit friends? Edward Hack and Drole Noel, Smudge is greatly missed, we don't see much of Sauce these days, who else?

    I never had an FP, wasn't even mentioned in dispatches - just the occasional entry which made me laugh (but no one else). I still pop in occasionally to water the pot plants; Merry Christmas everyone.

    Ooh! I've just remembered that I once won a NEAT-O. Something about some Pound-shop pants being impregnated with gorgonzola cheese.

    Scroat, who set the challenge, said "theumpire must win it for sheer depravity and nauseatingness. Well done."

    I've treasured that praise for nine months now, in the hope that I might one day give birth to something even more nauseating.
