The US is worried that fun and games at Christmas office parties in North Korea could lead to a nuclear strike on South Korea according to confidential cables appearing on WikiLeaks.
'There is a real danger that a government office party in North Korea could get out of hand with disastrous consequences', the cable says. The US government official who wrote the cable suggests that the greatest danger comes from Kim Jong-un who will succeed his father Kim Jong-il as the country's next leader.
'Kim Jong-un is a devotee of Eric Clapton and likes to live it up,' the cable says.'Things could get out of hand and we're here talking fingers on nuclear buttons, not arses on photo-copiers.'
