Oh, newsbiscuit editorial team, we've had our differences of opinion, but I'll always love you really. Thanks for putting in the excellent Civil War... reference - I wonder if we'll ever find out why it's always mentioned on NB?

One thing though - a journalist for TV Quick? Let's try and keep things realistic - who'd stoop that low?

Actually, it was TV Times you unutterable bastards and a fine career I had there too. I interviewed the Cheeky Girls for God's sake - the Pulitzer was moments away.

In "Civil War, (etc.)", I was vey pleased to find a mention of Nell Gwynn's famous "receipt", Ye Sovereign Mercury And Spikenard Remedy For Ye Clappe. I had lost my copy, and couldn't remember in the frankincense had to be heated first or added at room temperature.

Oh and there was no such word as 'Ye', as any fule kno. That was just an archaic way of writing 'the'. I'd love to go on but the nightlife of Frankfurt on a snowy night in December beckons.
