Dobbin the elf, who spent years as Santa's right-hand-man, is set to reveal all in a new autobiography which will send shockwaves through the festive season.
The book, titled Smell the Glove - My Life With Santa, lifts the lid on years of abuse at the hands of a man considered the world over to be the very definition of joy, happiness and peace.
Dobbin also tells of sordid sex parties at the North Pole, the real reason Rudolf has a red nose and claims Santa has fathered a string of children around the globe.
In an exclusive interview, Dobbin, who is now working for Hasbro, said: 'I think a lot of people will be shocked by what they read.
'Santa is not the person the world thinks he is - I can say this first-hand and have the bruises to prove it.
'While many people think it's a fun tradition to leave him a brandy or beer on Christmas Eve, for years I was the one who suffered the consequences when he came back from his rounds tanked-up and grumpy.'
In the book, Dobbin speaks of how he first fell in with Santa's crowd as a young elf with ambitions.
He revealed: 'When I left school, all I wanted to do was work at the North Pole. I was lucky enough to get an interview and it so happened Santa was there at the time.
'He took an instant shine to me and appointed me his PA. At first it was great - the parties, the free trips around the world and, of course, the girls.
'Sometimes we'd take off for one of his favourite Mexican brothels on a Friday and the next thing we'd know it was Thursday afternoon and we were waking up in Michael Barrymore's pool house.'
But things turned sour soon and Dobbin fast became Santa's punch bag. What followed was years of domestic abuse as Santa proceeded to take over and control every part of the elf's life.
'At first he'd throw the occasional punch at me when things were going bad in the workshop. At the time, I was so desperate to keep the job, I wouldn't say anything.
'But soon he began to threaten me when I asked for time off and eventually I wasn't allowed to leave his private workshop.
'He'd often come back on Christmas morning and tie me to a chair. Then we'd sit all day with Santa shoving his black glove in my face, asking if I could smell the reindeer hair on it.'
When asked if he thought there had ever been a sexual element to the abuse, Dobbin appeared to be on the verge of tears, before simply saying: 'I think so, yes.'
Eventually, Dobbin was able to break the cycle of abuse and escape. He now lives in New York with his girlfriend and is fast climbing the corporate ladder in the world of toy manufacturing.
'One night I managed to get him so drunk that he passed out under the Christmas tree. I knew it was my chance, so I pushed the tree over him and ran.
'By the time he managed to pull himself free, I was long-gone and it was over.
'I jumped on the first sleigh out of the North Pole and just cried the whole way back to New York - it was over and I was free.'
Smell the Glove - My Life With Santa is on sale now in all good bookstores but don't be expecting a copy of this book in your stocking this year.
