Mr Brown has the considerable advantage of not being Tony Blair. Because his lies pale into significance when compared with those of Saint Tony, he simply gets away with them.

Didn't Alan Clark use to call it "being economical with the actualité"? Amazing how these politicos (and company execs) have so many words that mean "telling a lie" which allow them to lie to themselves and us that they are not quite telling a lie.
