Evening plucky. How's things ?
Posted 3 years ago # -
No too bad, thank you, Mr Aray. I would prefer it if my shoulder was working properly, but it will, in time. How are things in the Aray household?

Things are great in my home.
A fridge full of beer, the footy is on TV and I can't view it as the wind is messing up the TV reception.
Why couldn't the wind have done it earlier when I accidently stumbled upon Life of Reilly.

Ah, the wind and TV reception. That is a mystery understood only by mystics and (barely) by the TV companies. It is never windy, though, when the TV man comes round, leading him to say: 'it seems OK to me'. What a bag of shit life throws at us, eh?

Your right about only mystics understanding it, the neighbourhood tramp keeps shouting about it.
Either he shouts about that, or something about the obscene data roaming charges when talking to God on his mobile phone.

In my younger days, as a psychiatric nurse, I looked after a man who thought he was Jesus and had a full-size cross made up, which he used to lug down the main roads of leafy Surrey. Oddly enough, years later, I have seen him in Cardiff. Now an old man, he no longer has the cross, which is a blessing, if you see what I mean.

I see what you mean but I figure that he wasn't allowed to wear the cross at work.

I don't think he ever did work, Mr Aray. As it was a full sized cross, he certainly couldn't have 'worn' it, in the BA sense of the word. It was hard enough for him to drag it down the road. He was a nice man, though, although he didn't wash his hair very often, as I recall.

Speaking of misunderstood vagrants... I've just read this lovely story.

Nice story.
Saucelets finished school today. I've just finished Black Swan Green. It was a bit slow to start with but then characters took over and I feel rather bereft now. Been working full time and overtime - can't wait for the weekend.

I was taken by Black Swan Green too. Nice one. Cloud Atlas was excellent I thought.
Believe it or not, I've just started reading the Inspector Morse books. Surprisingly god.
