Recent tests confirm that the current out-break of Snowmen may be due to the fact that their DNA has been lying Dormant. They have been directly linked to traces of Snowmen found at the polar ice cap.
Researchers at the North pole, originally saw what was just a lump in the snow, but when they excavated it, they found a carrott & two pebbles. The theory is now that Snowmen migrated south, riding on a Glacier, during the last Ice age. As the Glaciers retreated, some of them "missed the last Glacier home" & simply melted, their DNA remained dormant until the recent big Freeze in the UK.
A spokesman said "we thought they were extinct, having gone through several periods of global warming, they did not have the ability to run away. We have seen the odd Snowman's testicle flying around in the UK recently, this may have contributed to their re-emergence"
