Following the infection control successes experience in Weston Super Mare, books, toys and upholstered seating were banned from doctors waiting rooms in order to reduce cross infections there are now moves to ban the ill also. A spokesperson for the local authority told us with the introduction of the revolutionary MriScan a full examination of any patient would be far safer over the phone and Internet. They refused to comment on suggestions that this might herald an end to home visits and nobody was available to comment from the Ministry.
