It reminds me of something out of Monkey Dust. A grim reimagining of that horrible hair-dye ad where a long term unemployed middle-aged bloke comes home and tries to convince his daughter that he got a job at last.

I think I used to smoke monkey dust in the early 70s. This place is a bit like the wife. She can remember every single word of every argument we've had over the last several decades. I wonder what this was about and where are they now? I do know what Plucky's doing but Edward Hack? And The All New Jeni B? Then there's that Golgo13. We haven't seen him for a couple of hours.
