A bridge on a busy commuter route in Missouri, United States was blown up tonight after a 'credible' terrorist threat was received at the State Office early yesterday morning.
The message contained a threat to blow up the Union Road Bridge at rush hour on monday morning threatening the lives of many commuters using the bridge at that time. Using a rather unique method of prevention State Security decided to beat the terrorists to it by blowing up the bridge tonight to foil the evil scheme.
State security official Buzz Johnson explained his departments actions ' the people of the State of Missouri deserve to have the best protection we can give them and if that means taking extreme measures such as we've taken out tonight then so be it'.
When it was put to him that would it of been better just to have closed the bridge tomorrow morning just in case it was a hoax the official retorted ' that would be playing into the terrorists hands as that is exactly what they would want us to do, so blowing up the bridge tonight would be the last thing they'd expect us to do'.
Things have since transpired that the message was not a hoax but a badly written e-mail from a Terry Iston building engineer from Albuquerque who wanted to have a blow up photo of the bridge in order to carry out much needed repairs.
Concerns are now directed towards the White House as Iston has recently put in a quote to do repairs on the Presidential home. Buzz Johnson and his staff were last seen driving a wagon packed full of explosives towards Washington with the aim of carrying out their rather extreme version of terrorist prevention.
The Obama family of been evacuated just in case Johnson is successful.
