The lantern is guarded by a large snake. However, the snake is afraid of your canary in the cage you are carrying, and runs away so that you can pick up the lantern.

Munky, I think we're in a time warp and we've wandered into a computer game from the 1970's.

They were very like this, played over an acoustic coupler modem, on a Texas Instruments terminal with a thermal paper printer - no screen, just a printout as above. Those were the dayss when you had to use your imagination, like you used to with the radio - do you remember radio?

Regret I have to disagree with you Hunter, ole chap. My TIFH submission to the Marmite NEAT-O got (and merited) nothing but derision from the mad jez judge. It's humour which is clearly no longer appreciated.

(MadJez - have the new print cartridges arrived yet?)
