Sgt Mark Andrews, of Wiltshire Police today won his appeal to be re-instated to BBC show Strictly Come Dancing. The Sgt had previously been removed from the show for "rough handling" of his dance partner Ms Somerville, at one point in the routine seeming to throw her roughly to the floor. BBC bosses reacted quickly to viewer complaints removing the pair from the contest.
However today an appeal judge reviewed the footage and concluded that Ms Somerville was in fact party to the routine before hand and probably didn't feel humiliated or degraded in anyway. Sgt Andrews told the court: "I don't think I did anything wrong.
The BBC now have the difficult task of finding a new parnter for Sgt Andrews, and insiders believe Anne Widdecombe is the most likely candidate for Sgt Andrews to Dosey Doe.
