Police in Melbourne, currently at the centre of a scandal involving officers sharing racist, pornographic and sadistic emails, have stepped up their efforts to stamp down on rowdy behaviour at the city’s Grand Prix by making one arrest.
Formula 1 ethnic minority Lewis Hamilton was detained and his expensive Mercedes was impounded after his car’s wheels ‘lost traction’ and he was apparently unable to explain satisfactorily how a black man could afford ‘a nice set of wheels like that, fellah.’
A spokesman for Melbourne police said: “We’re not going to tolerate dusky blokes behaving like they own the place. Can I just say Good Luck Mark, mate.”
