Thieves who broke into a holiday apartment and stole a book publishing deal while the authors popped out for a few minutes have been described as ‘cold and heartless’ by publishers Transworld.
The authors, who were dining at a nearby restaurant when the book deal went missing are said to be devastated.
Police in the holiday resort are appealing for witnesses.
‘We think somebody must have seen something’ said El Pedro De Chavez, leading the hunt for the missing book deal ‘it’s only a small manuscript but whoever picked up this story would have been struggling with it from the start. We find it hard to believe that a book deal like this could take place in a quiet beachside holiday destination without somebody becoming suspicious.
The book deal ,which has been four years in the making is thought to be a fantasy about an abandoned child who is spirited away in the night by the tooth fairy.
At a hastily arranged press conference the authors responded angrily to suggestions their plot contained too many inaccuracies and the book deal was just another fund raiser
‘It’s not fantasy I tell you, it really happened...I swear it really happened, it’s all true’ insisted the authors ‘why doesn’t anybody believe us, it really happened. It was the tooth fairy all along’.

Now that's what I call satire.
Have a cheesy, 80's, manufactured, Stedman family pop group.

I'm confused about how the top ten works. This excellent sub has been top of them for a week without anyone posting to it.
I don't mind, but shouldn't it appear on the FP sometime if it's that well written & popular ?
