Amazingly, I've not yet heard anyone whingeing about the 'devastation' and 'irreparable long-term damage' being done to 'our nation's crucial dogging community' by the covid restrictions, or claiming that 'Pervs have rights'.
I am ashamed to admit, I don't know enough about this pastime to know how badly it is affected by the requirement to maintain social distancing. Maybe some 'swinging Biscuit' on here can enlighten us?

"...sitting naked in his car without a reasonable excuse."
What might a reasonable excuse be?

"I have just arrived from Dover and this was all I was allowed to bring into the country"?

"...sitting naked in his car without a reasonable excuse."
What might a reasonable excuse be?
'Well, it was far too cold to hang around, standing naked outside my car' ?
(A bit like asking 'Why do people hang dog shit from trees in plastic bags?' which always gets the answer 'How the Hell would you ever manage to hang the stuff from a tree, without putting it in a plastic bag first? ')

Strangely they do not appear to have asked why he was in the graveyard at all rather than staying at home safeguarding the NHS nor did they question whether he and the other person was suitably distanced.

perhaps he's a Psychronecrophile?

Maybe it was this chap, hoping to go for a McShit (ie use the facilities in a well-known take-away fast food establishment) but finding out that there isn't one in Devizes.

We seem to have these stories every day
I get it about not criminalising the covid breaches beyond fines - the government probably doesn't want to drive the activities further underground and probably doesn't want to end up plopping its friends in jail for 'forgetting about the rules', or, 'testing my eyesight', but the threat of fines doesn't seem to be working. I'm guessing these gatherings are very lucrative so perhaps it's about time to criminalise the organisers, the premises owners (unless they can prove they have done everything to prevent the events that is in their power) and the main players beyond fining them (does anyone know of any stats that show the fines re being paid?

The one that really annoys me is this:

As many of you know, I'm keen on birdwatching, and in different times I'd have visited Exmouth for this, as part of a short break. So would 5000 others over the last week
As it stands, I'd guess 100-200 ultra-obsessives have probably made the journey, professing "well, I was in my car, then kept good distance while I was there". Sadly, only a half dozen seem to have been fined £200, which for some is a price worth paying
Social media is full of people trying to argue that it's a reasonable exception to the rules
It reflects badly on all birdwatchers, including the vast majority who stay at home, frustrated because we can't go
It's probably an escaped cagebird anyway, tbh. They're fantastic mimics

The contrast seems to be between older people who stay apart and are unlikely to spread it, but who take care because know they would be in danger if the caught it; and younger people who are more likely to spread it but who know they are unlikely to die if they get it, so don't give a toss.

Most of the more extreme & reckless twitchers are 50-70, and the younger ones are far more sensible - until their list has grown enough for them to struggle to improve it
And those in supermarkets who barge past - 9/10 of them 70+

Just been to the high street.
Teeming with (mostly) older people.
The masks have gone, the distancing has gone,. the caution has gone.
They've had their jab and now thanks to Boris and his idiotic boosterism they think they are invincible.
They no longer need to worry.
Expect the third wave very soonIt would be useful to know who the lawbreakers are.
It would help protect people's lives.
Employers should know.
If they are self employed or tradespeople - then customers need to know.
Whether they have been to a rave, a shisha party or drinking den - whatever - people (us) should be made aware of who they are.
They (employers/customers) can then make an informed decision on how they respond.
Would you employ an electrician if you knew he had been off his tits clubbing with 200 other bell ends.Posted 2 weeks ago #
