Well, 4 dead isn't all that lame, but I get the point that there weren't cars on fire, Molotovs, damaged shops, etc
The police were criticised for not preparing. Maybe they actually were very clever - if they'd gone in heavy, there would be many deaths on both sides. In somewhere like Washington, I'm sure there are plenty of police around, security & the nearby military base. And then they would have been criticised
