...as Cheryl Cole's latest "musical" offering shifts more than 150,000 copies to the ignorant masses who probably watch X Factor and think it contains talented people with a musical future, in much the same way that The Apprentice contains "16 of the UK's brightest business brains".

What I find amazing about the X-Factor is that the judges, contestants and audience all seem to believe that it's really important.
Don't get me started.
Anything with a Peter Dickson voiceover sounds - if not important - at least RUDDY URGENT!
The judges get applauded to their seats.
If they diffuse a bomb in Afghanistan then I may give them a thumbs up but how hard is it to walk to your seat? Is it because they are doing it live? It's not a pre-recorded walk so it's something unique? I'm sure Cheryl would mime it if she could.
...yeah but they're walking with O Fortuna playing...
...if you saw me walking down the street or buying a newspaper in slow motion with O Fortuna blaring out, you'd think 'Hold up...something important about to happen'...
