The problem with Dan is that he sells a lot of books, which critics and 'real' authors cannot abide.

You could try to put it down to knee-jerk snobbery, but I think it's fair to say that Dan's books are popular and shite...I enjoy a Big Mac now and again, but I wouldn't cite McD's popularity as proof that it is good food.

Actually I nicked the sub off of one of my infinite simian friends.

I'm not sure that the problem with Dan Brown is that he sells a lot of books. I dig lots of authors who sell shed loads of books.
I think the problem with Dan Brown is that he is a terrible writer. There are many other terrible writers out there I'm sure, but I have no idea who or where they are because there terribleness goes unrewarded.

I'm basically angry at Karma.

I have never read Dan Brown - therefore I base my opinions on my snobbery. It's not knee jerk snobbery however. I first saw the book and thought nothing about it, only over a period of days, weeks, months did my snobbery ferment into it's current disdain.

Some one copying Dan brown ,thats novel ..The davinci code is the most "popular" book to be handed into charity shops (just after they`ve bought it)

I can't sleep - always an issue after any clock change. Will start a new Dan Brown mini saga story in new thread to while away the minutes until boredom kicks in.
