Data that accompanies photos of the 1969 moon landings proves that they were a hoax says a statement from AWG today. AWG, the society of avid web geeks, have recently redirected their attentions from finding boobs and aliens on Google Earth to the location-based information 'geotagging' on photo-sharing site Flickr.
"We scoured literally tens of photos using an Android mobile phone and discovered that NASAs uploaded photos of the 1969 moon landings were geotagged Fresno, CA. This proves that without shadow of a doubt that the moon landings were faked, a total hoax." read the statement.
NASA spokesperson, Neil 'I REALLY went to the moon' Armstrong, responded, "Do these guys really have nothing better to do with their time? By their age I had already been to the moon and back AND I have the boot covered in moondust to prove it."
Further investigations into the NASA-scam show that many of their photos of galaxies far-far-away have been produced in Fresno, CA, coincidentally the home of the server that uploads their photos to the web.
