The world as we know it is about to change. Following the announcement of the British Library study into the changes in pronunciation "following fashion", the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) has announced that it will be relaxing standards to accommodate "number fashion".
A spokesman said "We are a bit fed up with those wordy guys attracting all the funding and headlines but we have spotted their trick. We know what works and what works is fashion".
In a formal press release, the IMA have stated that from midnight tonight, 1 plus 1 will equal 1, odd numbers divisible by 13 will be even and the 7 times table is being suspended indefinitely.
