Odd how massive spending cuts that will reduce spending ad infinitum are politically OK and cleary represent no danger to the public (according to the govt. But firefighters highlighting the issue by announcing intentions of 48 hours are a life threatening disgrace.

I know who'd I'd rather have come and rescue me in an emergency, and they don't work in the house of commons.
