Andrew Bromley, a 45-year-old IT manager from Milton Keynes, has announced that he has "had enough".
Mr Bromley said he is bored with his job and doesn't know if he would still be with his wife if they didn't have a daughter.
He explained: "I get paid a pretty normal wage and every month the gas bill goes up.
"On top of that, the price of petrol keeps rising and every week my wife, Paula, comes back from the supermarket having spent more than the week before.
"I want a new car but I can't afford it and I really want to go on holiday to Spain this year but both the wife and daughter keep going on to me about going to Paris.
"Oh, and my football team are looking at a middle-of-the-table finish this season."
Mr Bromley added that he'd like to consider his options to change his life but "just can't be bothered."
Mr Bromley's MP, Tony Sneakcock, commented: "Oh boo hoo."
