If a former tabloid editor were to cobble together a tissue of lies about weapons of mass consruction, Britain may no longer have the resources to kill hundreds of thousands of people, on behalf of a foreign oil baron.
Thousands of soldiers could NOT be sent to their death, families would not be torn apart and a corrupt prime minister would not be able to profit from the bloodshed. That was the doomsday scenario, presented by the leader of the opposition today.
