   I have just enabled a new level of caching on the site to cope with the current upsurge in interest in whether Titus will or won't fuck off.

   The main pages on the site should server a lot faster if you are not logged in which is how things are with most of our readers of course.

   However, I am not sure whether the Forums will cache as well. If they do cache when you are not logged in then just browsing the forums when not logged in will potentially give you an out of date view on the posts.

   When you are logged in, it shouldn't cache and you should get the same view as you always did.

   The site seems to be holding up ok at the moment, we currently have significantly more users viewing than we usually do which is a good thing !

   Please let me know if you find anything odd about the site (within reason!)

   Exactly, that's what I thought, also did you check the cyclic redundancy checks, sometimes they can be a bit out.
   I do find it odd that Titus hasn't succumbed to the voices telling him to blow the legs off anyone who tells him to FOT, god knows we all suffer with those conflicting multiple voices in our head, don't we.

   Thanks for your update, your cheque is in the post, is the number of viewers secret?, I just told my sister about the site yesterday so you should notice an increase to what must now be n+2, 2 because of her dual personality.

   Actual figures are difficult because they vary throughout the day and from day to day ... sometimes it is only Titus reading the site ..

   Looking at the snapshot as to what is happening at a particular time, We often have about 10 or 20 concurrent readers, we currently have 180.. and it has relatively consistently been between 150 and 190 for the past two days.

   wow, that's good, we think, it doesn't take long to read and people have a low attention span so can we assume say 50 average at one time, every 15 mins, x 16 hrs

   say between 3,000 and 6000 viewers per day?

   plus Titus when he is awake all night

   .Please can you add wechat and whatsapp link buttons when you get a chance?

   We usually hit between 3k and 5k page views ... today we have just hit 22k

   We use a plugin for the links, I'll see if they have something for wechat and whatsapp

   I don't have a lot of time to make changes but I'll have a look and see ..

   Hi TG

   One difference I noticed is now if you log in at the bottom of a thread to add something to that thread it lands you not on that page but on the Home page. I.E The main page that visitors see FP and the NiBs.

   UPDATE:

   Might have been temporary as I have just done it again although on a laptop and not my phone and it has worked 'properly and kept me within the same thread.

   2nd UPDATE

   Double checked using the mobile site and it is as I said fist time - takes you to the main home page not the thread which you must select from the drop down to relevant room then relevant thread.

    Just a thought TG. Sometimes I log in and forget to log out. Does it mean I'm still logged in taking up space even though I've closed my window? If so, could you log people out after say five minutes of inactivity, especially if it is causing problems?

    I think it might be because of excellent NiB sub by oshaughnessy went viral - currently has had 44k likes on Facebook and still rising which has driven scores of punters onto the site.

    An yes, Chip is right, oshaughnessy's post about Miley Cyrus is generating about 85% of the traffic on the site currently and we are getting between 5 and 8 times as much traffic as usual because of it.

    No, this was just a case of people sharing the post a lot and then they shared it and so on.

    It happens every so often and overloads the systems. We've manged to handle this one well finally and we'll keep this set up so hopefully the site will be generally faster from now on.
