In a surprise move, the BBC Worldwide and Virgin Media have issued a joint announcement of a new FM radio station - "Radio Dave".
This novel station, which broadcasts on a very powerful signal at 88-91 FM, is intended for those that missed original famous broadcasts and broadcasters, and generally all those seeking to reminisce on days gone by. It has the motto "the airwaves of witty banter".
Final details of the broadcasts have yet to be determined, but it is understood that familiar names like the much beloved Sarah Kennedy will be broadcast live at a sensible time, and Jonathan Ross will also be allowed to broadcast, albeit with a 30 second delay.
Famous shows such as The Goons will be repeated until everyone knows the phrases "you dirty rotten swine you" and "he's fallen in the water". And then some. Also, Hitchikers' Guide will be repeated daily. Recorded travel news from various local BBC stations will also be replayed.
Since the full listings aren't yet complete, the remaining gaps will be filled using a loop-tape of Wogan cracking smutty jokes, rambling and eating.
When asked about the remaining gaps in the schedule, the station's executive said they were open to ideas, and several negotiations were currently taking place. But, he warned, we won't be taking on that twat Evans - no fucking way - he can stay by himself all alone on Radio 2.
