Greater Manchester Police are today posting details on Twitter of every incident the force is called out to deal with over a period of 24 hours.
Chief Constable Peter Fahy hopes to demonstrate that a large part of his force's daily workload is taken up by incidents which are not serious crimes, but what he describes as "social work".

Hostage to Fortune?
He is surely asking for a send up.....

Manchester has “Form” when it comes to Chief Constables with eccentric views about policing....anyone recall Sir Cyril James Anderton CBE,........

”a professed Christian who claimed to speak with God regularly and who characterised himself to be an instrument of divine judgement “.............

God evidently told him to nobble his own deputy, James Stalker, just as he (J.S.) was about to deliver his report on odd goings on at the RUC...

Let me understand this ...
Police Force = Social Work = Social website = internet usage
