A leaked letter from the Home Office to UK Border Control Agency chief, Cheryl Walsh, outlines new changes to the appeals process for illegal immigrants.
Asylum seekers will be allowed to stay in the UK as long as they can sing and dance for three minutes before a live audience who will then decide their fate.
Ukranian asylum seeker and lead singer of boyband Beatrootz, Yuri Ripov, welcomes the plan. He is due to be deported next week but thinks he has what it takes to stay.
Sadly, it is too late for Yuri but he is hoping a Facebook campaign will sway the government's mind.
Supporters have set up camp outside his house in Paisley to show their support.
Local man David Biggs told our reporter, "We've been here for months. At first we had placards saying, "Go back to where you came from" and "immigrants = scrounging scum" but now we've heard the boy sing, we've painted over them with things like, "Yuri staying here" and "Unfair rules for talented singers". What the government is doing is a crying shame."
Home Secretary, Theresa May, was unavailable for comment.
