You lazy git Doran. Get the bugger written.
You reckon there's more to it than a one-liner?
Not now I've seen it on the FP ticker.
Neeeaaalll!!!! Where the bloody hell have you been?!
Well, Mal, it's not been unknown I don't think for a sub to go from ticker to NiB to FP, but I'm not sure I've got any more jokes than those in the one-liner. I think mainly you have a point about the lazy git thing though.
Evenin' Jeni! I fully explained my absence to Des earlier though the medium of obtuse references to Charlene lyrics. But to be a bit less coy, I have mostly been moving house, working and looking after small children. Now I'm back at my desk just about full time, I miraculously have time to arse about on here again.
New place is nice isn't it?
Still smells of paint though. It's growing on me, but to be honest, I liked the way you could just scroll through the old chat and pop a comment in should you wish. Sometimes you could even barge your way in front of people. Now though, you have to wait your turn and if you miss your chance, your comment is totally irrelevant.
But anyway, I suppose I'll get used to it.
I do hope you are all settled into your new domicile, the children have already spread their bare-foot-stabbing toys all over the place, and you are still getting mail for the previous occupier.
It's lovely to have you back though Babs, and I look forward to seeing more classic Doran pieces here.
PS- That Charlene was a right old slapper, wasn't she?
See what you mean about the merits of the old place, but now there's rooms where conversations can meander chirpily along apparently for weeks without driving everyone not involved mental, which is good. I quite like the idea that you can kind of just close a door and pretend that something you don't want to think about isn't happening. Which applies to here and my new home too now I think of it.
Anyhoo, lovely to speak to you too Jeni. You're looking well, I just hope you remembered the talc before getting ready to pose for the gravatar.
