The new Conservative government has today announced a new quango that is charged with reducing IT costs in all departments. It will ensure that all IT contracts for the past 5 years are suspended, reviewed and replaced where appropriate by equivalent more costly contracts.
The new quango is to be called the Office for UK Information Technology (OFUKIT).
