Lord Trieseman, Chairman of the Football Assocation has revealed the lengths he went to try to save the FA's relationship with its Chief Executive Ian Watmore.
"He told me he wanted to leave earlier this week" announced a clearly distraught Trieseman at a hastily convened press conference. "My footballing instincts kicked in, and I asked him to think about it. My team of fixers quickly arranged for us to fly out to Dubai together, where we walked along beaches, discussing our relationship. We had Hello magazine on standby to announce the reconciliation, but no number of oysters or Rolexes could change his position. While I would have liked to have kept this quiet for a little longer, the courts disagreed and lifted the super injunction."
