Friends and colleagues of Royal correspondent Nicholas Wtchell rushed to his defence after the veteran reporter had a meltdown live on national television.
Millions of viewers watched as Nicholas reporting on yet another Royal birth appeared to dissolve into a pile of oozing sycophantic slime as he struggled to find words to describe how wonderful this life changing event, was for him, for his family and for the nation.
Clearly struggling to describe exactly how unworthy he was to be allowed to even utter the names,Harry,Meghan and Baby Sussex,Nicholas giving the best Uriah Heep performance ever seen on British Television, was close to tears as he performed his arselicking, royal grovelling piece to camera.
BBC producer, Biff Thompson said later, that they have been worried about Nicholas’s mental state for some time and that the news that Nicholas was looking to change his name to Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon should have set alarm bells ringing.
Biff confirmed that Nicholas had been attended by paramedics and that after a heavy dose of sedatives and a promise that he could have a ride in the Royal coach sometime in the future, he was taken away to his home, Balmoral, on the outskirts of Penge.
