8:33 - 2,577,556. That's nearly 2,800 per minute. At this rate, 3.7 days to get to 17.5M.
Brexit enters the Big Brother Hearse.

Maybe the elephant in room may now be discussed at least.
At the same time the petition to leave has hardly moved and still sits well below 400k.Posted 1 year ago # -
I think the Leave petition may now have peaked with no more Leave voters capable of using a web-site, and no more Russians capable of hacking the system.

That's an interesting take, Titus. What's this theory of yours that Russia would benefit from us staying in the EU?

What's this theory of yours that Russia would benefit from us staying in the EU?
I think Russia just likes meddling. They're like a troll, but with vast resources
Posted 1 year ago # -
They'd jeopardise us leaving the EU just to meddle when they've already got us split to the gills?
Posted 1 year ago # -
Wasn't it Russia that was implicated in Leave and Trump winning?
Farage on the wireless this morning dismissed the petition as all from Russia - desperate frog-eyed twat!10:22 2,833,656 signatures

3 million voters is impressive, except for the fact fact that 13+ million already voted to stop Article 50...and lost.
If I was playing devil's advocate (or Titus as we call him), I would say that it proves 10 million Remain voters no longer give a sh$t.
Oh - and why would people bother to vote on the Leave one? Leave has already won.

Wren:
Parliament voted against no deal
Parliament voted against May's deal
They haven't voted on the obvious 3rd option of no Brexit.
The least this petition can do is persuade them to consider that option.Brave decision to cancel it but they are all fucked anyway so what's to lose? The army is already to combat civil unrest. Millions have been ring-fenced for police overtime. The option has at least been considered somewhere in Whitehall.
There have been quite a few for and against petitions over the months but few have passed 200,000. This one appears to have traction.

You don't have to convince me :D
It's Theresa 'Flexible' May who needs to buy into it. My big fear is that it unities Soft & Hard Brexit in common cause (and those guys are in the majority in HoC).

Calm down! What this is leading to is that the House of Commons will be obliged to discuss Brexit.
Posted 1 year ago # -
Surprised they haven't thought of that before...
Posted 1 year ago # -
They have. But Theresa May has only got one answer and although she's renowned for her flexibility, she appears to be sticking to it.
Posted 1 year ago # -
It only needed 100,000 for the house to have to consider debating it.
They will have to consider debating cancelling article 50 not Brexit.
You will recall Mrs. May saying "Brexit means Brexit" and as far as I am aware the option of cancelling the whole sorry fiasco has not yet been discussed.Equally they would have to consider debating leaving with no deal on the 29th had they not already done so and rejected the idea which is why the other petition is pointless.
3,420,786 signatures now by the way
